These originally released in 2001 as a Japan exclusive and left many shoe lovers out in the dry when it came to copping. You either tried your luck and flew to Japan or paid a hefty price on the resale market. Nike took that into account 12 years later and released them in limited quantities in 2013 but still that left a bitter taste in many mouths. The colorful upper and scarcity that the “Viotech” saw resulted in becoming one of in not the most hyped colorways on a Nike Dunk.
Just this December we so Virgil Abloh rocking them himself heavily and now we can only speculate if it was a hint to what was to come or just a normal flex for the designer. The Nike Dunk Low “Viotech” and it’s colorful upper will release one more time this Fall 2019 in hopes of getting to sneakerheads that struck out the other two previous times.
